Restaurant Menu Capture Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to the Crave It Restaurant Menu Capture browser extension. The extension is used by authorized reviewers to capture a restaurant menu page for review in Crave It's admin portal.

What the extension collects

Only after a reviewer explicitly selects Capture, the extension collects content from the active restaurant menu webpage: its URL, title, capture time, sanitized HTML, visible text, and menu-related page hints.

Before upload, the extension removes scripts, form values, editable content, inline event handlers, security nonces, and integrity attributes. It does not collect or send cookies, passwords, browser history, location data, personal communications, or content from other tabs.

How we use captured content

Captured content is sent to Crave It's backend solely to extract and reconcile potential restaurant-menu updates. A reviewer must review and explicitly apply any proposed change. The extension does not publish menu changes itself.

Storage and retention

Capture jobs and their contents are held only in transient process memory for the review workflow and expire after five minutes. Crave It does not create a permanent capture record from the extension upload. Only menu changes separately approved by a reviewer are saved through Crave It's normal restaurant-editing process.

Sharing and sale of data

We do not sell captured content. We do not use or transfer it for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to restaurant-menu review. Captured content is processed only by Crave It's services and providers needed to perform the menu-extraction workflow.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the extension's data practices change. The current version will always be available at this page.
